[ Asuma had expected today to be just like every other day. He would get up, have some breakfast. Maybe go out for a stroll around town and soak up some much needed sunshine. Summer was supposed to be just around the corner, after all. So needless to say he wasn't expecting, well, this. It was like dejavu, only instead of the sea he was waking up in a river, dressed like a new feather, the summer still months away if the snow was any indication.
What a way to greet the day.
It doesn't take him long to find his journal. It was impossible to miss it, really, as it was safely lying on the banks of the river--A way of mocking him no doubt. Ah well, might as well head to wear the warm clothes are--so! He opens the journal as he makes his way towards the village. ]
I don't know what the fixation with water is, but these guys could wait for the weather to warm up before they go dumping people into it. [ He's glad he wasn't dropped out in the middle of the sea this time, but that didn't make the water any less cold. ] Ah, but on that note, anyone care to fill me in on what's going on this time? I'm not usually one to complain, but I could have sworn we left the cold weather behind us a few months ago. Which means either someone's having fun with the seasons, or I've gone and imagined the last few months.
[ He's not even sure what to think of the new feather attire at this point. He's got a few ideas, but... ]
And hey, is it normal for the no-shirt thing to make a comeback? They were nice enough to leave me some shoes this time, but It'd be nice to know if I should expect this kind of thing more often. [ He'd opt out of these shenanigans if he could, believe you me. ]

[ And so our great journey commences as Asuma heads from Point A ( the river he happened to wake up in ) to point B ( where his apartment used to be. ). It's not a very long one as he was fortunate enough to wake up just outside the village. Though he's met with a rather unpleasant surprise when he gets to the first community housing building and discovers all his stuff is gone. He's more than a little surprised, but would be lying if he said some part of him hadn't been expecting it. He was far from stupid, he could put two and two together as much as he didn't want to.
So before anything else, he heads out into town to find something to wear. The guy's drenched and shirtless, so it's not like he's prepared for the crisp, spring weather. Once he's warm, dry and changed he takes a walk around town, nodding to the people he passes on his way, mostly taking this time to see how many people he recognized. He hadn't known everyone last time, not by a long shot, but it's easy enough to spot faces he's seen around from time to time.
Occasionally he'll wave someone down--whether he recognized them or not--to ask some weird questions, like if they knew what month it was. Sometimes he strikes up some relatively normal conversation, too--How long have you been here, ect. Because before he hunts down the people he knows from home, he wants to know what kind of reaction to expect from them.
It's recon time. ]

Well, that and she's washing a crap load of weapons. Blades of all kinds are pouring out of the sink that is filled beyond the brim with suds. It's just a mess. A hilarious mess. Tenten, who controls, what must be, a soviet factory's amount of sponges stacked neatly to her left, is scrubbing them all and is leaving them to dry on ninja razor wire which adorns a surprising amount of the kitchen.
Yeah. She might be a little too comfortable at Luceti. ]

Asuma considers just walking on by and leaving Tenten to finishing her weapon-cleaning in peace, but the spectacle's piqued his curiosity, so he approaches, stopping just before he has to worry about bumping into any razor wire. ]
Been pretty busy, huh?

Not busy enough. I've been trying to fill my time with target practice, but, even that's starting to get a bit too mundane. [ She's been throwing swords at them, Asuma-sensei! Swords! ] So, I've also taken to washing my weapons. In the kitchen. [ She's been trying to expand her cooking skills. She can't just eat Seventh Heaven's Chinese forever. ]

Which, let's be real here, Lee or Gai would definitely do. ]
Though it's a shame you haven't had much to occupy yourself with.

Her rice ball is slightly chewier than it should be, but the texture and flavor are consistent. Also, don't worry, there's no crab shells for extra jaw training!! ]
Eh. I guess that's just how things are. You get kinda used to this place. It's idyllic, until you're reminded that the Malnosso are still around.
