 [ Days 1-4  ]

[ A young boy is--out for a stroll, apparently. A casual walk through the forest, mostly to see if he can recognize anything around him or not. All in all it's not all that interesting, and he doesn't really seem all that worried, all things considered. That is, until he runs into a bear. Yes, a bear. A black one probably twice his size. Now, while Asuma had been walking casually, he had also been careful to be quiet. So when the bear sees the kid appear out of--what it assumes is--nowhere, it's rather surprised. And like a startled bear, it charges.

The kid? Still doesn't seem particularly concerned, and when the bear gets close he jumps over the bear, landing behind the animal. Mentally, the bear is like: Yeah! totally got that punk! Until Asuma decides to liven things up and try to ride the thing. This is going to go swimmingly.

So yes, folks, this kid is riding a bear. And can be seen around the outskirts of the village, trying to get it to listen to his directions. After a bit of trouble, he'll turn to the journals for some help: ]

Hey, does anyone on this thing know how to tame a bear? Maybe a favorite food or something, you know.

[ Day 5  ]



[ Like days previous, Asuma is trying to tame the bear he'd " caught ". And like every other day, it isn't going so well. The bear doesn't seem to care where Asuma wants to go, and just walks around doing it's own thing. So he's basically along for the ride--Which is all well and good, because whether it's where he wants to go or not, riding atop a bear looks pretty cool.

Or it would be pretty cool, if the bear didn't discover the bees nest in a nearby tree. Asuma slides off the bear as it reaches up to grab a fistful of honeycombs, landing on his back. He's content to just lie there until the bear's done, but..

HOLY SHIT BEES--Needless to say, Asuma will be sporting a number of bee-stings the rest of the day. ]

Maybe bears are more trouble than they're worth. Seriously, why'd it have to be bees? 

[ Not that that'll stop him. He's determined, now. ]

[ Days 6-10 ]



[ In which Teen!Asuma wrestles the bear, tries to feed it blueberries but nearly gets his arm eaten in the process, and runs into more bees.

And also teleportation. Watch out! Moody teen incoming! ]

Tch. Watch where you're going.

[ But you teleported into them, Asuma---Unless you teleported into each other, but that's just awkward. ]

[It doesn't really where Asuma is, as long as he's outside! Azusa is lost again. Carrying dinner for her and her son, she's just wandering around when she stumbles across...Asuma and a bear? This is the way home, isn't it?]

My, my! What a cute friend you have there.

[ Asuma was feeding the bear at arms length, trying to see if it would eat just the blueberries, when Azusa approaches. He's distracted a moment when she speaks, and the bear takes that opportunity to try and chew on Asuma's arm.

Yeah pulling that away fast. ]

He would be cuter if he didn't keep doing that.

[ He swats the bear on the nose with the blueberry branch. Bad bear. BT ]

Hmm...that would hurt a lot, wouldn't it?

[She's going to take a few steps closer, but not enough to really startle the bear or anything. She's still keeping her distance.]

What's his name?

More than a lot. I'm pretty sure I'd lose my arm or something.

[ The bear just looks at her. And then looks back to Asuma because man, he wants those blueberries.

Asuma shrugs. ]

He doesn't have one.

[mythmaker]

That would be a problem, wouldn't it?

[Hmm. She decides to just try talking to the bear. Why not? Bears in Luceti can talk right?]

Mr. Grizzly, can we have some of those blueberries? I'm sure it would be a lot more fun to share.

Day 8!

[Caesar has been making weird terrible attempts at hiding himself while he goes about the village, so it's not surprising that while he's trying to avoid being seen, he ends up stumbling upon Asuma and his bear pal.

It's not that Caesar's never seen a bear before, but... he can't remember the last time he saw a guy wrestling a bear?! This is kind of intense, hope you don't mind a spectator. No worries, he'll stay out of the way.]

[ Wrestling a bear? Is a lot harder than it looks. This thing is massive and somewhat annoyed that Asuma was trying to keep it away from the honey in a nearby tree.

Neither seem to notice the spectator, and the wrestling match continues on for a time. Asuma can't keep it up much longer and slips away from the bear, giving up. It was a pain, but-- ]

Oi, might want to get back a little. [ He jogs over to Caesar, inclining his head away from the bear--who is now climbing to try and nab a nearby bees nest. ]--There'll be a swarm of angry bees heading this way soon.

[mydearapple]

You sound like this has happened to you before. [He narrows his eyes at how odd the whole idea is, but he starts heading away from the scene.] What was all that just now?

[lastsmoke]

Yeah, what can I say, it likes honey. [ He follows, glancing back at the bear--Yep. Look at those bees. ]

I was trying to stop it from going for another bees nest. I've had enough stings the last couple days to last me a lifetime.

[Day 8]

[Neji's hidden himself off in the forest to train, not wanting anyone to see him in his current feminine state -- he'd stay home if he could, but training even with his awkwardly shifted center of gravity is a must.

And then there's a moody teen incoming to immpact the ... er, other moody teen. At least so far as he can tell, it's no one he knows -- not recognizing Asuma at first.

Still, congratulations, you just narrowly avoided a Gentle Fist to the midsection, Asuma.]

Gah...! What are you doing out here?

[Day 8]

[ It was somewhat disorienting, being teleported somewhere else as suddenly as he'd just been, and it takes him a moment to get his bearings before he notices the girl in front of him. The first thing he notices are her eyes--familiar eyes. A Hyuuga?

Though while the eyes are familiar, but the person isn't. So Asuma steps back, shoving his hands into the pockets of his jacket with a scowl. ]

How should I know? I just appeared here.

[Day 8]

[Weirdly, it actually earns him a little sympathy from Neji; the bristling dies down some and he folds his arms, abandoning the combat-ready stance.]

Popping around all day? I went through that earlier. [Seems to have stopped now, but he doesn't entirely trust it to remain that way.]

[Day 8]

Lucky you. [ Though he's relieved to know it wears off eventually. He'd go crazy if he kept doing this. ] How long did it last?

[voice] Day 1!

It's favorite food is probably you.

Yeah right. If it was, it would have tried eating me by now. [ The first encounter doesn't count shhh. ]

Yeah? What's it doing now?

It's--[ That sure is the sound of Asuma dropping his book. ]--Hey, spit that out. It's not food! [ His headbaaaaaaaand. ]

[action] Day 4

[With his super ninja skills, Asuma might've been aware of another young boy hanging around in the clearing where he's training his bear, sitting on a high branch of a tree. Sabo doesn't look particularly shocked or concerned when Asuma tried to ride the bear; he and his brothers tried worst stuff trying to subdue a wild animal.

So for the longest time, he's just a quiet spectator. That is, until Asuma sends out that message in the journal. Sabo shifts on the branch so he's more visible to the other boy from below.]

Huh, I never tried taming any animal before. Always thought it'll make things kinda weird when it's time to eat it.

[ Asuma had known that someone was nearby--but he hadn't really turned to see who it was. He made sure to know where the person was hanging out, but otherwise had gone about his business as though nothing was going on.

He'll actually turn to look at Sabo, raising an eyebrow slightly. ]

You'd eat a bear? Why not go for something easier to catch, like...I dunno, a squirrel or something?

[action]

[Shrugs.] Small animals are actually harder to catch. And they're not very filling, with too little meat on them. So most of the times, it isn't worth the trouble. If it's a big animal, you'd just have to knock it out and then you have your meal.

[He cups his chin in his hand and looks from Asuma to the bear.] So, why're you trying to tame that guy for?

Ahh, yeah I guess that makes sense. I always figured it would be the other way around--except yeah, small animals wouldn't be very filling, huh.

[ A shrug. ] No reason. I'm just bored.

Day 1! || Sorority Girl Tenten

[weaponry]

[ Tenten looks in utter confusion at Asuma-sensei as a kid. Even if she might appear to be shallow, she still worries for her fellow frat brothers and sorority sisters. ]

Like, Asuma-sensei! Be careful with that bear! You don't, like, want to end your life early and end up without kids, being an accomplished ninja with awesome students and junk. Your actions now could like, totally injure you for life!

AHAH oh gosh Tenten...why so adorable.

[ Asuma turns to give Tenten the weirdest look. Like, seriously what are you talking about. Does he even know you?? ]

I'll be fine, it's just a bear. [ Which isn't even a convincing argument, but you know. ] What was all that you were saying, anyway?

[ SHE DOESN'T EVEN GO HERE. ] It's not, like, just a bear. It's like, a killing, make-you-childless, machine. Like, you have no clue, like, what I see for your future. I mean, you're going to like, lead a next generation, and like, have a child, and stuff.
